Abenteuer St. Ana See

Route: Zăbala → Lacul Sfânta Ana → Bixad → Băile Tușnad → Sfântu Gheorghe → Zăbala

Bikers' Verdict: A 10 out of 10 for scenery, but the ride requires concentration. The forest roads are heavily shaded, which is wonderfully cool in the summer, but in spring and fall, it means you need to watch out for wet patches or leaves in the curves.

Beware of Bears: This is no marketing gimmick! The bears near the entrance to the lake are used to cars, but on a motorcycle, you’re much more vulnerable. Never stop to feed them or take pictures! Just ride past slowly and steadily.

Pit Stop: For lunch, head straight to Băile Tușnad and the “Tiltott Csíki Söröző”. This rustic brewery-restaurant features a relaxed terrace and serves damn good burgers alongside hearty local specialties – perfect for recharging your batteries for the ride back.
